Well, well, well.....A lovely morning for it I thought as I rode up the motorway to the Lt Chef at Aschurch, I wonder if anyone will turn up? I'd had apologies from some who had other family matters to deal with and Graham B, Sal and Bri were riding up in Snowdonia.
It was great to see some new faces - and some long lost old mates! I must say that one of the most impressive thing (for me) was the range of bikes that turned out - Rob's SP-1 is just perfect for nadgery B roads in Herefordshire (not!) fantastic folks well done and thank you.
Leaving the Lt Chef we headed off in two groups, splitting at Mythe Water Works with the aim of meeting again at our food stop at Cross Gates - this we did, remarkably we were only about 15 minutes adrift of each other. After topping up both bikes and bodies we headed off again as two groups to Hay on Wye for yet another chat, review and a drink. Final stop of the day was at Ledbury RFC where it was a nice opportunity to thank everyone for coming and participating so fully in the day.
I sincerely hope the folks who were new to us enjoyed the routes, banter and riding. Thanks also go to Woody, Andy and Tim for leading and sweeping.
See everyone again very soon I hope. Ian
