June 2019


Sunday 2nd June, rideout. Leaving Costa at 9am sharp after a 0845 briefing. We initially head out via the Forest of Dean for a tea/coffee/breakfast  stop Crossgates, passing Kerne Bridge around 0930. Then on out toward Newtown along a lovely road then cutting back at Dolfor through a fabulous B road back toward Leominster with a stop at either the OK Diner or Doms Bike Stop depending on the weather and fuel requirements. Then back through Bromyard and Ledbury for the usual split towards Gloucester

Thursday 6th June, 3 night trip to South West Wales – June 6
th - 9th 2019. 3 night stay in the 3*** Gwesty`r Emlyn Hotel in Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire. Website – http://www.gwestyremlynhotel.co.uk/

Group rideouts will be arranged on the Friday and Saturday.

Rooms available as below:-

  • 6 double rooms @ £75 per room per night including breakfast
  • 5 single rooms @ £65 per room per night including breakfast

Saturday 8th June. Rideout. PLEASE NOTE AMENDMENT (they are closed Sundays) -  GKB LEADING TO:  MIRUS 55 MOTO CORSA GILLINGHAM. For all things of Italian exotica on two wheels meeting at Seven Springs BIG layby 8.30am until 6.00pm latest, taking in the Gillingham motor festival (Free) for a `Tyre kick` and then a run around their backyard led by a fellow DAM rider local to the area for a bit of fun. (Saves getting lost)

Weekend 15th/16thJune, PRESCOTT BIKE FEST... It`s coming around fast and we would like confirmation from those attending on the stand, and what bike they are displaying if at all. This request is just to establish if anyone`s circumstances have changed and therefore unable to support and you have forgot to TELL US !! Many thanks in advance... of course. Tuesday 18th June,
Clubnight 19:30-22:00, Gupshill Manor, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury. - CLEEVELY EV CARS - Try to make this one as David and Matt are bringing along a pair of electric cars on the night, and being local in Cheltenham can offer all the answers to your questions on a very current topic (geddit) it should be electrifying.


Saturday 22ND - 23RD June Rideout,  (This one`s a single night stop over) DAVID SILVER HONDA MUSEUM/DUXFORD AIR MUSEUM. As the David Silver Museum is 200 miles from us we will stay over in the 3* Cedars Hotel in Stowmarket. Those that have signed up for this fab overnight please be prepared to leave Teddington Services/Garage (just off A46) for 8.00am on the Saturday... of course !, see you there.

Sunday 14th July, CCAM Super Sunday. 9.00am to 1.00pm at Witcombe and Bentham Village Hall, Pillcroft Road, Witcombe, Gloucester, GL3 4TB...….

It is aimed at all Full Members, Associates and Potential Members and will offer:
Taster Rides for Potential Members, Observed Rides for Associates already in training, Observed Rides for Associates waiting to commence the Advanced Rider Course, Social Ride Out for Full Members and a chance to experience a Group Ride.
Plus free Tea and Coffee and a chance to talk bikes with fellow bikers. 

Tuesday 16th July, Clubnight 19:30-22:00, Gupshill Manor, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury. - Midlands Air Ambulance Charity - Mary Seldon has kindly offered to give us some facts on these essential services
 

August 2019


Sunday 4th August - CCAM MOTOGIRO organised by Gary Hyett and Andy Chilton, something quite different. Don't forget to get your entry in for this new style Ccam event, a day riding in the Glorious Cotswolds, answering a few questions and clues along the way followed by a social afternoon/evening with a buffet and drinks. Further details can be downloaded from the bottom of this page. Put it in your diary....

Sunday 22nd September , PROVISIONAL DATE for second
CCAM Skills Days 2019. 09:30 - 13:00, these mornings comprise a series of machine control exercises, with CCAM Observers on hand to advise and help you improve your slow speed handling skills using your own machine. It is free of charge and is open to all CCAM Associates and CCAM Members; and dependent upon numbers, some guests by invitation. If you intend to be there, please notify a Committee member (user.ccam@hotmail.com) and Associates inform your Observer.
